WT March 2014 : "Let your yes be a yes, but your UBM's no is not a no"
by The Song Remains The Same inwife has gone out to the kh this a.m., so i thought i'd balance the world karma by reading jwn, and then looked on jw.borg to see if the stats are up yet.
they weren't so i check out the latest study edition as i promised her i would mark one up in all sorts of colours to show the various techniques employed to guide jw's.... anyway, i noticed the contradiction in the two articles; "your speechyes and yet no?
" and "reaching the heart of unbelieving relatives" where in the first they are saying if you say yes, mean it, or if you say no, mean it.

LOL, them having to verbalise to a stranger that they will be killed by their loving merciful god, is excellent.Maybe they will remember this encounter and feel uneasy.

I did a search FHN last time you mentioned it, what search term should I use?
I cant find where i posted my own experience I'll write it up again maybe... Anyhoo i have bumped a couple of threads while searching for it, you may want to check out.
U we have had this dance on the other thread from 7 months ago, where you refuse to go into any remote details about it...
No I wouldnt see it as proof of the supernatural even with all the details fleshed out, but at least it gives a reasonable chance to understand what it might have been. A vague account is pointless, it offers nothing and expects much. Anecdotes by themselves mean didly squat, correct.
This isnt about me btw, this is for anyone else reading your account to get a better feel for your account. If you really really believe that something very extraordinary happened to you I doubt you will view this as a chore, in fact I cant understand why anyone has to ask for the details in the 1st place, you should want to provide others every chance to believe your account by making it very accurate indeed.
For your account or any other account to be taken seriously it needs a lot of detail to paint a better scene. The better the scene is painted the easier it is for others to see what you thought you saw, or maybe see something you missed. The details needs to be stated honestly, if some of the information is 2nd hand or hearsay you need to be honest and say so. If you are unsure of a point of detail you need to say so. Imagine you are making an eyewitness statement. You get the picture...
Bring em on....

Proof of a Spirit World? The Scole experiments
by universaltruth ini just had to share something i found fascinating and faith building.
i know it's not specifically related to the topic of this forum but i think it would be useful to anyone lacking faith in a spirit world and a god such as those who have been stumbled by false religion.. i do not personally believe that the existence of complex life provides evidence of a creator as evolutionists have done a very good job at explaining how life has evolved into the complex forms that exist today.. so instead ive looked to the supernatural to provide me with evidence of a spirit world.
if i can prove to myself that a spirit world exists, this would provide sufficient evidence for the existence of a god, since it is reasonable to assume that one cannot exist without the other.. without dabbling in the occult myself i have carried out research into the paranormal and i am always keen to watch documentarys that provide convincing evidence and credible eye witness testimony.. one such documentary which was aired on tv can now be watched on youtube.
